Montagano Birth Certificate Question-

I am working on tracking down a birth record for Giovanni Antonio Galuppo. Based on his US naturalization papers he was born in Montagano, Molise, Italy on December 27th, 1890. A few other records have shown 1891 instead of 1890. His death certificate lists his name as Giovanni Anthony Constantino Andrew Galuppo and his father's name as Domonick Galuppo. I have attached the naturalization papers and death certificate.

 

A couple of notes on Giovanni Galuppo-

1. He married his first cousin Mary Galuppo before immigrating to the US.
2. I have tried to find his and Mary's name on the ships manifest without luck. I looked through the microfilm and many of the pages are badly damaged. I am assiming their names are on the destroyed lines/pages.

Here is the issue:

I cannot determine by the formatting of the index which name is the child's name and which is the parent(s) name. For some reason, Giovanni seems to have or go by several names. I see a few that look close, but cannot read the records well enough to determine if the fathers name and birth month match.

 

Could someone please take a look at the two indexes and let me know which record is the correct one Giovanni? Thank you!

There's no Galuppo births in 1891 with a father named Domenico. Birth #129 in 1890 is Giovannantonio Costantino (which matches pretty well with the death record) son of Domenico Galuppo and of Maria Giovanna Giannantonio. Born 26 Dec 1890.

If you think that the data does not match, I advise you to check the correct spelling of the Italian names, as they were written in the Italian documents.

Then, try to contact the registry office of the municipality of birth of each one here in Italy

@Cousin Vinny​ I have tried to translate some of this record. I was hoping you could confirm a couple of things and translate a few more.

Father's occupation is contadino(peasant sharecropper)?

Road/street name is Via Palme?

 

Can you read the following:

Father's age

Mother's age

Mother's occupation

Street number(looks like 11/12 to me)

Mother's age is not given, she is likewise a peasant farmer
