Edward Thomas Howard Stevenson and Georgina Emma Whannell dward (G92D-WSV) was the third marriage f
They lived until 1944 in India where Edward was a member of the British Police Forces. He retired there in India and died in 1944. He was buried in India.
Georgina lived in India for at least a year or two after Edwards death. Family speculation was that she moved to France and died there.
I am having a hard time finding where and when she died.
She is my great-grandmother by her first husband, Philip Henry Brown (KWVW-WVM).
Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

Bonsoir @RichardRoach RichardRoach
To consult the civil status of the city of Marseille after 1904, you should contact the Municipal Archives of Marseille which have digitized Marseille civil status until 1942.
These documents are not online, they can be consulted on site in the reading room of the Municipal Archives.
There are 2 associations in Marseille which could help you in your steps:
Cercle Généalogique Midi-Provence
BP 30
13243 Marseille
Genealogical Association of Bouches du Rhône
BP 22
13243 Marseille
I'm sorry I couldn't do better.

Re ...
I just checked your family tree on Family Search: John Sinclair Battie died on May 13, 1943. Her last husband, Edward Thomas Howard Stevenson died on April 17, 1944. So logically, the marriage took place between the 13th. May 1943 and April 17, 1944 ...
I think that it would be better to contact the City of Marseille to seek marriage or contact the American or Indian consular services.
