Delete living individual in Private space
Why do some of my Private People (living individuals I created) say "Delete Person Unavailable"?

There are two possibilities that I can think of ...
.
(1) For Member of the Church ...
.
Members of your IMMEDIATE Family (eg. Spouse; and/or, Children) ...
.
IF, you are a Member of the Church; THEN, the Records (ie. individuals/persons) of your IMMEDIATE Family (eg. Spouse; and/or, Children), in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', were most likely, AUTOMATICALLY, "Created" (or, "Converted") from your Membership Records of the Church, by 'FamilySearch'.
.
This occurred in 2014.
.
Therefore, even though, NO "Other" User/Patron (including that of 'FamilySearch'), except you, appears on the "Person/Details" page/screen (plus, any other pages/screens) ...
.
IF, you look at the "ChangeLog" for those "Living" IMMEDIATE Family members; THEN, you will NOTICE that the User/Patron who is "Listed" has having "Created" the individual/person IS 'FamilySearch', NOT, you.
.
Hence, THAT is WHY the "Delete Person Unavailable" appears.
.
I just checked, my, Spouse; and, Children; and, such is the case.
.
Whereas, for OTHER "Living" individuals/persons that "I" have "Created" the "Delete Person" appears.
.
And ...
.
(2) For Users/Patrons who are not member of the Church ...
.
IF, you are not a member of the Church; THEN, at some stage, in time, the Records of such of your "Living" individuals/persons, were most likely, in some way and for some reason, "Changed"/"Adjusted"/"Corrected", by 'FamilySearch'.
.
Therefore, such SHOULD most likely appear on the "Person/Details" page/screen (plus, any other pages/screens) ...
.
IF, it does not, look at the "ChangeLog" for such of those "Living" individuals/persons; THEN, you will NOTICE, that at some point in time, a User/Patron who is "Listed" there IS that of 'FamilySearch', NOT, you.
.
Hence, THAT is WHY the "Delete Person Unavailable" appears.
.
I hope this helps.

I've run into that problem myself and got no where when I tried to work with Customer Support. While I want to suggest killing them off and then deleting them, the information is not truly deleted and another researcher could come along and restore the person and see all their private information.
If it is driving you nuts, disconnect the person from all relationships and let them live in the system as an orphaned ghost. You will remain the only person who can see them.
