I am trying to find information on my Great-Grandfather, Carlo DiCicco.

Carlo was born 4/22/1857. I believe in Caserta. I am also looking for any information on his wife, Giovanna, who was born in 1862. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Carol Haltom Do you have the city? Caserta is both a city and a province which can make it difficult to search. A modern distribution of the surname spelled Di Cicco, the spelling above does not appear, show the cities in the province of Caserta with the highest number of individuals with the surname as: Bellona, Capua, and Rocca d'Evandro. These might not be correct but they are the ones that have the modern distribution. Caserta city does not appear on the list.

I don't know the city. The only city I have is Valleluce. My Grandmother, his daughter Elizabeth, was raised in Valleluce. Valleluce is in the province of Frosinone.

Was Elizabeth born in Valleluce?

@Carol Haltom Because so few Italian records have been indexed and made into online, searchable databases, you need to know the town where an ancestor was born, married, or died in order to find records for them.
Do you have your grandmother's birth record? It may say the exact town your great-grandfather, Carlo DiCicco came from, which would help you find more records for him as well as his wife. Valleluce is actually a village that was within the municipality of Sant-Elia. We have digitized birth records for that town until 1899 that you can browse page-by-page here: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/263615?availability=Family History Library
If your grandmother was born after that, you'll need to contact the city office. You can email them at sindaco@comune.santeliafiumerapido.fr.it. It would be helpful to write the email in Italian. We have an Italian Letter-Writing Guide on the FamilySearch Wiki you can use https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Italy_Letter_Writing_Guide
Does that make sense?

My grandmother was born in Toronto, Canada and there isn't really a birth certificate. Only an entry recording her birth. Unfortunately, it only has the names of her parents. No information on their home towns. I found a ship manifest that listed Caserta as his hometown but, I'm not sure it is the correct Carlo DiCicco. I found other ship manifests that show Sant Elia as the home town for Carlo.
Thank you for the link. In order to view the records I have to go to a Family History Library, is that correct?

If it has a restriction you will have to go to your local FamilySeach Center. Here is a link to finding your local center: https://www.familysearch.org/ask/help

@chaltom21.528974801532206E12 Did you find the information you were looking for? I have the reconstructed marriage record for Carlo DiCicco and Giovanna DiCicco as well as birth records for each. All 3 events took place in Sant'Elia Fiumerapido. Giovanna was in my tree as her mother is the sister to my 3rd great grandmother.
