@CookeWilliamB1 CookeWilliamB1 I'm not recognizing that. Where are you seeing something about a new family history research initiative for training?

@CookeWilliamB1 CookeWilliamB1 Sorry, but I've never heard that terminology either. I'd strongly suggest that everyone associated with temple and family history callings at both ward and stake levels sign up for and make major use of the upcoming RootsTech Connect 25-27 February. If there is indeed some new initiative for training, I would expect we'll hear about it at RootsTech. This year it is virtual, and free to everyone attending.
Be sure to "attend" the Temple and Family History Leadership Training session, where the very latest information and emphasis will be discussed by top Church leaders, FOR Church leaders at our levels.
https://www.familysearch.org/blog/en/2021-leadership-instruction/
Note the extensive list of people for whom this training is intended: "Those invited to participate include members of stake and ward councils, bishoprics and branch presidencies, elders quorum and Relief Society presidencies, Young Women and Primary presidencies, ward mission leaders and missionaries, ward temple and family history leaders and consultants, and Young Women class and Aaronic Priesthood quorum presidencies."
You might also consider going back to your high councilor and asking him where he heard about the "initiative," and what he's heard about it. I'm suspecting there may just be some confusion in terms, or it may pertain to something specifically within your own stake. There are many videos, articles, etc., produced by both the Church and others with training ideas.
