If you move an ancestor on the 7th generation to the Root Center position, and view that chart, things get pretty interesting, especially when you choose to see the photos and stories for those ancestors who now will be into the 1600s. I was quite interested to see an ancestor with many "photos" in the 1600s , since photography, as we know it, was invented in 1838-9. So what could these "photos" be? I clicked on a couple of ancestors with "photos" and saw that one, with royal titles, had super portraits of him and his children, the paintings being found in a national library. Another one had a painting of a sailing ship that brought him to America. Another had a great Google ancient map of France from where that ancestor originated, Clicking on stories for those in the 1600s produced an excerpt from a book wherein the ancestor was written up as an immigrant to America, as an early Dutch Reformed Church member. Pretty fun stuff. And so on. I think we as parents and consultants have just been given a great and easy way to share ancestor lives, just by clicking on those various views on the fan chart.

I don't know if you're aware, but this is available only to Church members. I tried to show it to a patron at the Family History center where we serve, who is not a member of the Church, and it didn't come up on his tree.

I have both member and public accounts. In the public account I have the option of Family Lines, Birth Country, Sources, Stories, Photos, and Research Helps.
Using my Member account, i also see an Ordinances Fan which obviously will not appear for nonmembers.

So you can see the same except for ordinances?

I too have a non-member account and the only thing missing is Ordinances.
