Substitute family tree not showing
Hello, I had a basic family tree (three generations) on Ancestry but realised I could upload the whole shebang, which I've done. However four hours later Family Search is still only showing the earlier tree, even though I deleted it. I can see that the new tree has been uploaded -- and I have clicked "compare". Any clues please?

FYI
.
There are two (x2), distinct; and, separate, places to "Upload" a "Pedigree" [as, we DO NOT have a "Tree". in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', ONLY "Branches", that are interconnected, of a SINGLE, 'One' World, "Tree"], lets clarify/explore that ...
.
Those two (x2), distinct; and, separate, places to "Upload" a "Pedigree" are, into:
(1) Firstly, the "Genealogies" Part of 'FamilySearch'; and,
(2) Secondly, the "Family Tree" (Part) of 'FamilySearch.
They are NOT the SAME.
.
Question: HOW did you "... upload the whole shebang ..."
.
(1) through the, INTERFACE, between, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, "Ancestry_com"?; or,
(2) initially; as, a GECOM File into 'FamilySearch'?
.
Please advise.
.
In MANY cases, there is NO need to "Upload" one's "Ancestral" lines into "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...
.
As, in MANY cases, one's "Ancestral" lines are most likely ALREADY in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', you just need to link in with your immediate Family/Branch ...
.
Distinction ...
.
"Genealogies" Part of 'FamilySearch'
.
Basically, 'Trees' that you 'upload' to the "Genealogies" Part of 'FamilySearch' are for "Research" purposes ONLY - they can just be 'seen', by ALL Users/Patrons - NOTNING else.
.
Those 'Trees' are 'Static'; that is to say that, they:
(1) are NOT part of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and,
(2) are NOT connected/linked together; and.
(3) CANNOT be "Edited" (ie. "Changed"); and,
(4) can ONLY be "Deleted"; and, replaced by an updated version.
.
Whereas ...
.
"Family Tree" Part of 'FamilySearch'
.
A 'Tree", for you, DOES NOT "Magically" appear ...
That takes more work on your part ...
.
As an aside ...
.
Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic nature and premise of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.
.
Please let me explain ...
.
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
.
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
I hope this helps.
