I can translate for meaning: The tverrelv rivers is a chapter of its own. It is believed that the moving of timber on these rivers took place around 1665 and 1723 here in Brandval. Around 1713 Arne, Ole and Amund Olsen of Hanestad [farm] made a contract with Colbjørn Torstensen from Kristiania that he should have the right to purchase all the timber that was moved in Aruåa, if he would clear the rivers and make it easy to move timber. It would not work unless someone would clear the debree.
The Skasdammen dam was abuild by Jens Balangrud, a known builder for Jens Sørensen i the lata 1700s, but it is possible that this dam was build earlier. By 1743 the dam and forrest belonged to Søren Klæboe, and he demanded a fee for anyone using the property. Additional dams were built and in 1743. Later Erik Grobøl sold his right of Bureien to Iver Eieson for a yearly fee. He built a new dam, but there was already one built there earlier. According to a letter or 1312 it states there was already a mill there. The Ankerske Fideikommis paid 198 dollars for it in 1789. The year before they had to pay 83 dollars plus yearly upkeep. Already in 1813 the Steinreidam had to be rebuilt at a cost of 886 dollars in danish currency. There are only a few papers available concerning the rebuilding of Åflådammen.
