Would any of you be able to confirm that the following catalog has been indexed and is searchable? P
Hi All, I'm currently trying to determine whether to go into the familysearch library or not as I've recently been notified that the Plantation register of Indian immigrants, 1879-1919 catalog has since been indexed. I'm hoping to be able to search for my great great grandparents via this catalog.

Hi, I don't believe so because the register is still only viewable in family history centres unfortunately.

@Christopher Prasad I've been looking into some things for our Fijian community in my Stake tonight and stumbled across your question. Since I'm poking around looking for anything and everything anyway, I did a search to see what records are showing up as indexed. There are only two listed, neither of which is what you are looking for. But keep in mind that things change from day to day. Between covid and fluctuations in the contractual agreements that let us see records, you never know without checking whether they're viewable and where. But in this case they're not showing up as having been indexed. I know it's 5 months later, but would you mind sharing where you heard that? Could be useful. I found next to nothing in Ancestry.com search
Unfortunately, I killed the screens I was on when I found this, but I do remember exactly how I got there (sorry, I'm working on my phone and I am far less than proficient working on it).
I went to Family Search
"Search Historical Records;
Scrolled down to "Research By Location" (everything else left blank), for Region, chose "Pacific Islands" on the drop down menu.
For sub-region, chose "Fiji" from the drop down menu and
clicked on "Go".
If you do that you can keep tabs on new releases.
There are other ways too but I think that's the simplest for just a quick look.
Good luck. If you happen to remember where you heard those records have been indexed please, please come back and let us know.
