Finding people associated with a specific place.
The latest email from the FamilySearch Blog talks about using the FamilySearch Places Tool. After finding a specific place, under Research Sections-> Research Links is supposed to be a tab called "Records" "where you may be able to see people in Family Tree." I can't find the Records tab. Any suggestions?

'Yes', I can certainly see your confusion, with that part, of that "Blog" article:
.
Research Your Family Tree Map with FamilySearch Places Tool
https://www.familysearch.org/blog/en/places-tool-family-tree-map/
.
FYI
.
That particular reference has really NOTHING to do with 'FamilySearch Places' ...
.
That particular reference is SIMPLY, the "Search" 'Tab' of "FamilySearch"; and, the 'drop-down' "Record" (Search) option.
.
.
And, then ...
.
https://www.familysearch.org/search/
.
Nothing more, nothing less.
.
I hope this helps.

The blog is very specific that this is a new feature in the Places research tool. I suspect it will take you to the search that Brett mentions but with the location fields already filled out.
This is not the first time that the author of a blog accidentally included information about a new feature that was not released yet. What usually happens is that if something happened in development and the feature won't be released for months, the blog is revised to remove the information or the new feature really is almost ready and it appears within days.

Thank you for your feedback. You are correct. The link is not there. The blog article has been updated with that section now removed. The Places Team has been notified that the link to the Places tool is currently not available for simple access on the FamilySearch site. It is available via the Site Map on the FamilySearch site, but not yet available via any menu option. Also the connection between the Places Tool and researching historical record is currently not a function of the Places Tool. Thank you for reading the blog!
