In the book "Breve Historia de Nuevo Leon", Author: Israel Cavazos Garza pp.21 says about mines discovered by captain Alberto del Canto in 1577, an area they called San Gregorio (Today: Cerralvo) he lived in Zacatecas, Mexico but was born in The Azores Islands. First settlers came from Saltillo, Coahuila; Mazapil, Zacatecas; and other southern towns. In 1596 Monterrey City was founded. We also found people from San Luis Potosi, Queretaro, Mexico City, Puebla; and even migration of Tlaxcalan indians.
Unfortunately we only can find church records "Iglesia Catolica, San Gregorio Magno (Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon)" from 1761 and later.

Thank you very much. Given the lack of Cerralvo records prior to 1761, I'm trying to find other areas with Gonzalez de Ochoa families. I'm hoping to guess in reverse as to who Maria Petra's family "could" be.
