What criminal offence, from the 1920s, was known as "Att C.R.S.P.".

I'm in the UK but researching a New York ancestor of a friend here. The ancestor was convicted in the 1920s and sent to Sing-Sing for 5 to 10 years - his crime was noted as "Att C.R.S.P." on the prison blotter page.  I assume that "Att" means "Attempted", but what crime was "C.R.S.P.? It must have been a serious offence to warrant that long a sentence?

I also also googled "Criminal Receiving Stolen Property" and found a link to the New York Penal Code

https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/laws/PEN/165.40 which is a part of the Code and specifies that receiving stolen property. is "Criminal Receiving Stolen Property"
