Incorrect transcription
I have been trying in vain to reach someone who can assist me with correcting the incorrectly transcribed date of death on my great uncle's death return. The name of the collection is:
Returns of deaths, 1856-1921, city of Providence: Providence. Death Notifications 1890 and a link to the record of John Bernice Gray is found here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-892X-3FVL?view=fullText&lang=en&groupId=TH-1961-45423-11700-53 It appears there is no process for correcting transcription errors, as there is on Ancestry. I have been referred from place to place but no one addresses my issue.
The issue:
The date of death for John Bernice Gray is incorrectly transcribed from his death return as August 19, 1899. The correct date of death is August 19, 1890. Paging to the previous and following images of the entries confirms that the year is 1890, as noted in the collection title.
There are other significant errors, but the date of death is most important. What is the process for correction?
Thank you.

Full text search is still in the experimental stage and (as explained in the header of this group):
uses artificial intelligence (AI) to transcribe images into text so they can be fully searched. This automated search will find information almost instantly, saving hours of manual searching. Using handwriting recognition software, we can convert an image of text into a machine-readable format. This gives you the ability to search the full text of these records before they are even indexed.
While it is in the experimental stage, modifications and improvements are being made, based on user feedback. There will surely be more improvements; we may eventually be able to edit the results. For now we can add explanatory notes when we attach the record to the relevant profile.

I treat Full Text Search results just like indexed records and always check the original record for correctness and overlooked information. This is a good example

I'm even more careful with Full-Text Search results and newspaper OCR results than with indexed records.
