Post to the Canada Research Group
Donna Massey Rathman February 18
Hello to everyone in the Canadian Group. I am new and glad that I have found this group. I am doing research mostly in Ontario and am new to the various records that are available. I am looking for more current records from the 1920s forward. I believe that there are privacy guards so that some of the information is not available for many years. Is that also true if the person has died?

A few suggestions to help you get started is to go to the Canada Research Group home page and click on the Canada Group Resource Links or the FamilySearch Wiki Canada links which are also listed near the top of the page. Both will provide a number of additional resources which include information specific to the time period and Ontario province you are interested in.
An additional good reference source is
Library and Archives Canada
.Once you’ve familiarized yourself with these and other related sources and have specific questions regarding your ancestors, please feel free to pose them to the group. There are a number of experienced family historians in the group that may have additional suggestions for you.
Best of luck with your research.
