What have you done in your ward for a family search expo? or do you have any ideas for us?
We have been assigned to put on a family search fair for our ward and community. We have some great ideas after visiting the family search visitor centers in SLC and Ogden. We would love to hear some other ideas of anyone else that has done something similar in your ward.
We need ideas how to attract the public to come to the ward? (Free Family tree map, dinner, kids games...etc)
Any other ideas of what to do at the event?
In the gym we will be having around 6 centers where one they can create an account and the other ones they can interact with the family search site to by discovering compare a face, all about me and other interactive activities found on family search and the family search centers.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and ideas.

we did one on a two-stake level a few years ago and had Grandma's stories...a grandma in a rocking chair telling family stories to kids.
If you want food...you could have an assortment of family family recipes or just favorite family cookies.
We also did dress-up pictures. Dress up in old clothes and have a picture taken. We tinted sepia so they looked like old pictures and emailed the pictures to the recipients. We found that the little girls loved this the most! 😁
