looking for help with finding parents for Emilie Leclair
I am unable to find any info on parents for Emilie Leclair, maiden name Melanson born in Quebec and died in Spanish Mills, Ontario, Nov 15, 1912. ID # GG6H -1WY. I also cannot find any info on her spouse Joseph LeClair which was also born in Quebec and most likely also died in Spanish Mills area. ID #GG6H-3LK
The death register I found for Emilie was under Amelia Leclaire has the same date of death as the record of interment Nov 15, 1912. Everything else matches. I would like to know how to find the paper copy of the film # 004171745— 028384.
The parents listed on the Death Register for Emilie Leclair do not match. It appears the surnames on both parents listed don't exist.
Any help I can get to further my search would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @debbie2093
I am unsure what you mean by "I would like to know how to find the paper copy of the film # 004171745— 028384"
This page:https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JXXQ-H2Q
leads you to the original document:

If you are having trouble downloading it, this is the copy:
The surname of her father listed above could easily be wrong - you'll notice some common letters. Often, death certificates are not precise in this regard as the information is provided by an informant (in this case her husband Joseph LeClaire) who may not know or remember the spellings perfectly. You'll have to keep acquiring documents to connect the dots. There are numerous similar surnames which may end up being correct such as Melancon, Melanson, Menangon, etc… Always be flexible until you have the birth record or baptism to be sure.

I believe this is the family - Joseph and Emelie, with some of their children and William, who is married and has Hermanse/Armance (granddaughter of Emilie and Joseph). They are living in Aylmer (where they have lived for a while). I am finding other census records that I believe show them. However, Joseph and Emelie are older than you thought. Here is a transcript of 1901:
I found a marriage of Joseph Leclaire and Emilie Periard 8 nov 1852 in Aylmer. I also saw an earlier census which showed Emilie with a hard-to-read last name that would be Periard.
I see a family that corresponds to the one with Elizabeth and Corrine/Cora born in the 1880s, but those parents are younger. We may be talking two different families. Are you looking for the parents of William Joseph (b 1870s) or Joseph Oscar Irenee (1901)?
I can search for more information if we can pinpoint exaxtly which family we are looking at, verifying it with the children you know are your relatives.
