I am sorry to say that I cannot determine the place of origin of Hans Gut. There are several people from the same place on both pages, but I can't locate a village of that name. The rest reads as follows:
E. Thoma Grob von Wolsen Elsi Schneeblin
K. Anna
Z. Felix Wydler Fridlis Sun, Anna Guttin
Hans Gutten zu ? Thochparents Thomas Grob from Wolsen Elisabeth Schneebeli
child Anna
witnesses Felix Wydler Fridolin's son, Anna Gut
daughter of Hans Gut from ?1 -
Daniel57704 Thanks Daniel. I wonder where Wolsen is? I found some other records on Thomas:
1.Birth in Ottenbach, which doesn't make sense based on what you translated , however…..
2. Marriage says he is from Wolsen
3. Burial record says he is from Wolsen.
This makes me think his birth record is wrong because everything else fits.
All the best, KG

Wolsen is part of Obfelden: Grob have been citizens of Obfelden as well (was a widespread name).
Thomas could still have been born in Ottenbach: have you checked his baptismal entry?

I would interpret the location as Tunßen (today Toussen) - and the last word as Thocht(er) … would fit the groom from Wolsen.

Daniel and Wolf: I now have a web page on Thomas Grob with his birth, marriage and death. I will add them for translation once we've got the last couple of translations done. I don't want to overwhelm the system.
I certainly appreciate your great kindness in taking time with these ancestors of mine. You might think very few people are interested in such things. Amazing as it may seem I have over 650k views of my website over 10 years. I get about 9k a months or 300 views a day. Some people out there is interested in what we are doing. All the best, KG
