You are searching for Hans Jakob Sidler, father of Elisabeth Sidler, husband of Anna Hug.
Hans Jakob Sidler and Anna Hug married Ottenbach 06.03.1747: Hans Jakob was the son of the late Kaspar. So Hans Jakob will have been born before 1730. The only potential marriage of a Kaspar Sidler (in Ottenbach) ist that of 29.01.1715 with Anna Bär. Consequently Hans Jakob will be born between 1715 and 1730.
Baptism 1706: Is too early in the first place - also …
Page right side: entire page is devoted to a family Jacob Groß and Anna [???]. The had lived in Zürich-Bleicheli and had 4 children baptised between 1696 and 1703. Likely they had moved back to Ottenbach and requested that their children's baptisms were recorded in Ottenbach as well … which happened 03.01.1703 … no baptism that day … and nothing to do with Sidler.
Page left side: here we have on 07.02.1706 the baptism of a Jakob (no Hans) Sidler, son of Jacob Sidler and Maria Peyrin(?) "auß dem Markgräfler Land" (Germany). Not only too early - also "wrong" father.
Burial 1771: this Hans(!) Jacob died (or was buried) early (day invisible) Oct 1771, aged 65 years, 8 months, ? days - fits nicely the baptism 07.02.1706 - but he is not Elisabeth's father.
In other words: you'll have to search for another Hans Jacob, son of Kaspar. If we are lucky you'll find in the 1749 Bevölkerungsverzeichnis summaries of Hans Jacob Sidler oo Anna Hug and/or Kaspar Sidler oo Anna Bär.

Found on https://gw.geneanet.org/uezuercher?n=sidler&oc=1&p=caspar:
Caspar Sidler, bapt. 6. März 1692 - Ottenbach
Married 29. Jan 1715 mit Anna Bär, bapt. 3. Sep 1693 - Ottenbach, died 5. Nov 1762
Looks like worth checking.

Does the word after Barbara's name means previous marriage or stepchild?
(Jakob Sidler Anna Hug 1949 Bevölkerungsverzeichnis with Elisabeth born 1747 (first child of Anna Hug in this marriage) film 8014124 FHL page 97)
Kent: Parents:
Hans Jacob Sidler born 3 Jan 1706
Anna Hug born 31 March 1709 (married 6 March 1747)
Kinder:
Barbara Sidler born 13 Nov 1740 (stepchild or child of Anna Hug's first husband Hans Ulrich Sidler b 1712)
Lisabeth Sidler born 10 Dec 1747 (2 years old)
In the future they will have 2 more children:
Jakob Sidler born 1749 dies about a year later.
Katharina Sidler born 11 March 1753 dies 14 years later0 -

So we have to scrap my two posts - pity I didn't know from the beginning what information you have/had - would have saved me a lot of time. In future, please, always link to your web site and indicate where you want a transcription - don't send me just single pages here in the "community".
My search was assuming the family had lived in Ottenbach and attended church there: may not have been the case for some time.
"1706 Jakob Sidler birth 3 January Ottenbach film 8014328 page 286" is not his baptismal entry! I assume he was born/baptised somewhere else - or the date is wrong
I also still see a problem with the death entry 02.10.1771 - doesn't fit a baptism in Jan 1706, but the other one in Feb. A mistake by the pastor as he didn't find the baptism 03.01.1706 in his book - or a different person?

WSeelentag Sorry, my mistake, I will add the webpage in the future to give you background and documents I have on the person.
Billeter and the 1749 Bevölkerungsverzeichnis both had Jakob's birth/baptism 3 January 1706 in Ottenbach. I don't know how the Pastor figured out his death years. The Pastor for most of Jakob's life was Rudolf Hamberger. He died in 1776. The burial record was written by Pastor David Locher. He died in 1796.
I have Jakob living 65 years 8 months 30 days which is a little off from the burial record.

Billeter and the 1749 Bevölkerungsverzeichnis both had Jakob's birth/baptism 3 January 1706 in Ottenbach.
I have noticed that - but at least on the page you sent me (and have on your blog) there is no corresponding entry. If the date is correct (and there is no entry out of sequence in Ottenbach) he must have been baptised somewhere else; unfortunately Billeter doesn't quote a source (the Bevölkerungsverzeichnis?) - nor is the place of baptism mentioned in the Bevölkerungsverzeichnis (as usual - one may just tend to assume the same parish).
Keep in mind that the parents got married just two days after their son's baptism - with permission by the Marital Court (required in such a case): they may have chosen not to have the son baptised in their home parish(?).

I have now summarized what we know about Hans Jacob under Hans Jacob Sidler (1706-1771) oo Anna Hug - including the open questions. I assume Barbara ("privigna" = step sister) is Anna Hug's daughter (with Hans Ulrich Sidler): would be nice if this could be confirmed by the corresponding baptismal entry.

Kaspar Sidler and Anna Wilder had three children after Jakob b 1706. (I looked in vain for Kaspar and Anna's marriage on 5 Jan 1706) Did you locate their marriage?
Anna b 6 Feb 1707, Johannes b 20 Jan 1709 and Anna Barbara b 15 Dec. 1715. The interesting thing is that I found Johannes' baptismal record, below, however Anna and Jakob are not in the Ottenbach record. This supports your idea that Jakob b 1706 was baptized somewhere else.

Kaspar Sidler and Anna Wydler (modern spelling Wyder) had three children after Jakob b 1706. (I looked in vain for Kaspar and Anna's marriage on 5 Jan 1706). Did you locate their marriage?
You find the link on the latest contribution on Geneal-Forum: original see Zürich-Grossmünster. Right page / left column "Ehleüth".

WSeelentag Impressive amount of work! How is the basement coming along?
There were two Barbaras. The first: 1739 Barbara Sidler 23 Aug Father Hans Ulrich, mother Anna Hug Ottenbach page 34
The second: 1740 Barbara Sidler 13 Nov Ulrich father Anna Hug mother Ottenbach page 413 (see below)

Hans Ulrich Pfister (retired head of ZH State Archive) has pointed me towards the baptismal entry 1706 for Jacob - see addendum on Hans Jacob Sidler (1706-1771) oo Anna Hug incl. the link to the Wollishofen record.
On Caspar Sidler (1663-?) oo Anna Wyder ("Wydler") I have summarized the next generation - incl. the link to Anna's baptism, 1707 also in Wollishofen.
Have you got Anna Barbara's baptism (15.12.1715) somewhere on your blog? If this is the case I could link to it as well.
22.09.1720, Hans Jacob - had not been baptised in Wollishofen - no idea where. In 1749 his whereabouts were unknown - and the community wouldn't recognise/accept him as citizen.

Last line: "Erlibach" (today Erlenbach) "pm. Consist." - with permission of the Marital Court - required if the bride was pregnant or a child had already been born out of wedlock.
Thanks for the 1715 page - has been linked to.

Now I am confused. How can Anna Barbara b 1715 be born out of wedlock (or with permission of the court) if her parents Caspar and Anna married January 5 1706?
From what you are saying: if a previous child, ie Jakob b 1706 was born out of wedlock, it casts a shadow on the other children? Never heard of that before.

Your question "last line" was about the comment in the marriage record - nothing to do with Anna Barbara (1715).

Wolf: This is amazing :

Finding the marriage of Kaspar Sidler and Anna Wilder is also wonderful.
The Forum really works!! Thanks for all you do! KG
