Dear Community members,
Gustaw Elgert (Birth: 1895, Russia Poland; Death: Unknown)
Russian to English translation is needed; accuracy of names of parents, witnesses and Godparents, and their associated ages, and places and dates of birth/residence is essential! Questions, contact me before proceeding.

This is an abstract of the genealogical information in the document, rather than a word for word translation. I will put "(?)" behind things where I do not know for sure but am giving my best idea for what the translation is.
For the age of Fryderyk Elgert, I checked with a colleague and they confirmed that his age is listed as 48.
Interesting that you already have many Kiedkes in your tree. I looked at the record again and it definitely looks like Karol's last name begins with an L and not a K. I checked the spelling on his location as well and I believe it is Głowina, right across the pond from Dąb Polski. Hope that helps!

Birth Record No. 48, Nowa Wieś, Evangelical-Augsburg Parish, of Gustaw Elgert, born in Dąb Polski on the 23rd May 1895, christened on the 24th May 1895, son of Fryderyk Elgert, a farmer in Dąb Polski, 48 (?) years old, and of his wife, Adolfa, born Jops, 46 years old.
Witnesses: Henrich Elgert from Dąb Wielki, and Karol Liedke (?) from Glowin (?), farmers, 46 years old.
Godparents: the first mentioned witness Heinrich Elgert and Wilhelmina Elgert from Dąb Wielki.

Great job katerinaschmidt!!
A few questions/comments before we are finished:
Is this a verbatim translation?
What do “(?)” mean?
Fryderyk Elgert’s (1846 -) age at the time of Gustaw’s birth would have been 49, check number
Heinrich / Henryk Elgert (1849 -) was Gustaw’s father’s brother (he was 46 at the time of Gustaw’s birth); Gustaw’s Uncle and Godfather
Karol Liedke is unknown to me, even though I have many Kiedkes in my Ancestry Tree, no problem
Wilhelmina (Jabs) Elgert was Henryk Elgert’s wife; Gustaw’s Aunt and Godmother

Good morning katerinaschhmidt,
Thank you for your reply! You are correct, it was typo on my part; it should be an L not a K = Liedke. Everything else looks perfect including the location name Głowina.
Overall, an excellent job!! If you choose another, i.e. Fryderyk Wilhelm Elgert (Birth: 18 Nov 1875, Dobiegniewo, , Russia Poland; Death: 30 Dec 1957, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA); I need a verbatim translation of, there is some question in the Record of who his mother was.
Thank you again for an outstanding effort!
All the best,
Klaus
