Page now opens in new tab when adding a source
I'm quite pleased about this seemingly new behaviour, although it will take some time to adjust to!
I'm still looking for the Back arrow (now greyed out) in order to get back to the Results page in an effort to find still more sources to attach, but appreciate the fact - by the Source page opening in a separate tab - the Results page is no longer "lost" if I accidentally close the Record page.
I don't visit here too often, so don't know if this has happened following requests from users, or if the engineers have decided to apply this without user input.
Hopefully, there will eventually be complete consistency on this issue on the FamilySearch website. Working here, as well on other websites, I am often confused as to whether a page will open automatically in a new tab or if I have to specify that myself.
Meanwhile, I'm quite happy I'll still have the Results page open, even if I do accidentally close the other page, especially if it has taken me some time setting it up - with filters and other specified parameters.
(Just delayed for a while in posting this, but have just confirmed I no longer have to click on a back arrow from the Record page - that led me to the source linker one - to get back to the Results page. Great.)

Curious - source linker has automatically opened in a new tab for me as far back as I can recall using it.

I obviously didn't really explain the changed process too clearly. The source linker page opens via the record page - as you say, in a new tab. Again, as now, there is no back arrow from there, so it has to be closed when finished with. Previously, you would then find yourself back on the record page (from where you would need to refresh the page to confirm the source had been added to the profile), but if you accidentally closed the record page (clicked on the x) you would lose the results page, as it was the record page that hadn't opened in a new tab, as it does now. Sorry for my clumsy explanation, but I can assure you the back arrow on the record page is now greyed out (instead of being the means of getting back to the results page), so you can now close that, too, without the results page then being lost.
I believe the change in behaviour must have occurred in the couple of days, as I have just noticed the difference today and add sources practically every day to profiles.

Paul; I too love that change because I have often lost my source/search page unintendedly.
Thank-you for posting this positive message in Family Search Community.
