Newly Add Memories in Family Tree need to be tag to persons in Family Group Tree
When one creates a Family Group, all the current memories for living people (and deceased) in the FamilySearch Tree become available in the new Family Group Tree. I found that once the Family Group Tree has been created by myself, any additional Memories I tag in my FamilySearch tree do not automatically become available in the said Family Group Tree. When tagging in the FamilySearch Tree, I must tag the living person in the Family Group Tree, in order for it to be available in that tree.

That is correct. The system does not automatically sync your family group tree profiles with your FamilySearch Private Persons profiles.
However, you can re-enter the Copy from FamilySearch Tree tool to copy new information that you have added to your FamilySearch Tree Private Persons:
On the Group Details page, click Copy From FamilySearch Tree in the Group and Tree Settings box on the right-hand side of the screen:
Choose the individuals that you have added new information to and then click the blue Copy To Group button on the upper-right-hand side of the screen. Then the system will match up your the individuals you want to copy information from, to the individual profiles in your Family Group Tree:
Click the blue COPY button at the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up window to copy the new information into your Family Group Tree.

I don't see the steps you described above. When I click "Copy from FamilySearch Tree " the only name I see is mine. I don't see the two columns of matches as you've shown. Is this some new functionality we can look forward to?

You don't see anyone else when you enter the Copy from FamilySearch tool? Usually, it shows you, in a tree format, all living people that you have added to the FamilySearch Tree.
If you have people in the tree format, but only your name appears in the list of names on the right-hand side, you must choose people to copy into your group tree.
Click on each person that you want to copy into your Family Group Tree. They will show a green outline once you have chosen them, and their names will appear in the list on the right-hand side of the screen. When you have added all the people that you want to copy into the list, then click the blue Copy to Group button.
After you click the Copy to Group button, it should show the list of matched individuals.

Ok, so do you have any of those living people that are in your Family Group Tree also in the FamilySearch Tree? If you do not have them in the FamilySearch Tree, you cannot copy what is not there.
If you do have these living people in your FamilySearch Tree, you will need to click on each of them that you want to copy (or re-copy) into your Family Group Tree:
The green outline and the blue check box both indicate that person will be copied (or re-copied) into your group. Only those people that are checked/outlined show up on the right-hand side list of individuals that you want to copy. See the note just underneath the Copy to Group button.
You may need to open other branches of your tree (use the little arrows beside and above profile boxes) in order to see all the living people that you want to copy.
