Before the undersigned civil registrar appeared today for the purpose of marriage
1 the householder Carl Hermann Ritter, personally recognized, Protestant religion, born on 12 March 1858 in Ober Schönbrunn, Kreis Lauban, residing in Lauban, son of the resident Johann Traugott Ritter and his wife Maria Dorothea nee Altmann, most recently residing in Schönbrunn
2 Auguste Pauline Marie Sauer, personally known, Protestant religion, born on 6 June 1859 in Hänchen Kreis Löwenberg, residing in Lauban, daughter of the merchant Karl Friedrich August Sauer most recently residing in Lauban, and his wife Henriette Pauline nee Wagenknecht, residing in Lauban

As witnesses were summoned and appeared:
3 the hired coachman August Puschmann, personally recognized, 26 years old, residing in Lauban
4 the foreman Traugott Ritter, recognized by the co-witness hired coachman August Puschmann, 39 years old, residing in Alt Särchen Kreis Rothenburg
In the presence of the witnesses, the Civil Registrar asked the engaged couple individually and one after the other, the question
whether they declare that they want to be married to each other.
The engaged [couple] answered yes to this question and thereupon the civil registrar declared that by the power of the law they are now legally married husband and wife.
