DNA says John West L14D-1KM and Cockacoeske 9N78-YRQ could be my ancestors but there are no sources
I recently had my DNA compared to a legitimate descendant of John West L14D-1KM and Cockacoeske Powhatan 9N78-YRQ and there was a match with the Tribal Historian of the Pamunkey. There are two possibly ways I could be descended from John West and Cockacoeske but both have been deleted from Family Search several times because two of the ancestors I indicated do not have sources proving that they existed.
My DNa shows small NA match on Chr3 at about 188M. The Tribal Historian says this means a sister or niece or other relationship to Pocahontas.
First possible lineage: The first lineage is through a possible daughter of John West and Cockacoeske named "Mary West" G5H4-1LR. No source records have been found for Mary West to date to prove she existed.
Mary supposedly married George Smith GMGT-597 for whom there IS a source and who was recorded as an interpretor for Cockacoeske. George Smith and "Mary West" had a daughter Unity Lucy Smith LT6Q-6B4 born about 7 July 1681and died 16 March 1726. Unity Lucy Smith married Jeremiah Dumas MHZR-PH9 who was born about 18 June 1681 and died 15 January 1734. Unity and Jeremiah are my 7th great grandparents.
If anyone has any thoughts or possibly proof concerning the existence of Mary West please repsond to this note here. Thank you! (It is always possible that my ancestor was a different Mary but the fact she married Cockacoeske's interpretor is interesting. And let's not forget the DNA!)
2nd possible lineage: The second possible lineage is through Susannah West GGTY-B2R, who is an accepted daughter of John West and Cockacoeske. There is no record of her marrying or having a relationship with a George Martin GPHK-9Z2; however, in spite of someone posting a note that there were no records showing a George Martin ever existed, there are indeed records from St Peter's Parish showing that he existed in the correct time and place. Susannah West and George Martin supposedly had a daughter Elizabeth Martin G523-V5S born about 17 February 1687 and died 2 March 1758. Elizabeth Martin married William Henry Moss GP7J-76N on 20 November 1711 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent, Virginia, United States. Elizabeth Martin and William Henry Moss are also among my 7th great grandparents.
Again, if anyone has any information on a relationship between Cockacoeske's daughter Susannah West and George Martin or of a daughter of hers named Mary West who married George Smith , please let me know.
By the way, I checked other surnames that resulted from marriages of John West's and Cockacoeske's children but cannot find those names amongst my ancestors in the correct time and period. Since there IS a DNA match, this leaves me very perplexed, as you might imagine.
Thank you!

@DPuddlejumper
I will try to ask your question a little differently and see if we get any hints.
I also like your creative user name.

@ I have two suggestions. 1. Could it be possible that no one in the family knew of this person and that is why they are not in your tree? OR
2. From another user!
I've used the DNA Painter WATO tool to determine if certain relationships are possible. I also recently signed up for Ancestry Pro Tools. I had a DNA match to a man at 37 cm, but he did not have a tree attached. In the shared matches I found his sister, with a lower cm number, but with a tree. Some of their other shared matches have a common ancestor. Using the WATO tool has helped me figure out ways we may be related.

You can preview the WATO tool with DNA Painter to see if it will be useful for you. If you choose to add the tool there are fees.

Thank you. I have uploaded my DNA to GEDmatch.com where there is a chromosome painter. Is the WATO tool with DNA Painter similar or the same as some of the tools in GEDmatch?
