I am new to the group so hopefully I am submitting this correctly. I am looking for some help reading a birth record. It seems like there might be 2 children's births in the same record one named Peter, born on August 23 and one named Carl.

Yes. The two babies were born on different days and to different parents but were baptized on the same day so in this case, the priest just made one record. Peter is the son of Johan and Carl is the son of Lorents.
