Super Excellent Changes - Positive Feedback
Since I will likely be sharing needs for improvement in the future, I would like to take a moment to comment on the super excellent improvements you have made resulting in the new version going live on May 31, 2024 …
Copy ID - now I can easily take the 7 digit code with me as I go hunting for duplicates and errors. with the 7 digit code I can fix the error wherever I find it and return home easily.
Return to Record and Return to Family Tree - I ignored the big blue button at the end of the screen because I could never count on where it would leave me. Since I would have been done a rabbit-hole fixing errors, I would lose momentum on the exit, so instead I just "x'd out." Now, I know where I am heading on the exit and am able to teach new users using the features rather than x'ing out. Very nice.
Right Hand - "Navigation Hole" and Select Options More prominent - Really helpful when I am doing a huge batch of attaching sources for an ancestral village for all persons with a specific surname. 1) The feature brings attention to potential duplicate profiles which might need merging in through another feature. 2) the "Navigation Hole" allows me to enter the specific 7 digit code and keep me focused on the one profile. It limits rabbit hole-ing. I am confident I am working on the right person and am aware that duplicates might need to be addressed after source linking is complete.
Look and Design - It's nice to be consistent through out the software. Easy to read, unless one has vision problems. will get used to it.
Overall the source linker was the most wonderful thing when it was added. Source linker made it possible for the beginning user to conduct beginning research with a minimal amount of training. I'm glad it has received more attention to improve its functionality overall.

Thank you for your excellent comments. Recently we have added a green check mark to show that the source has been attached. We also have enhanced the Attach Button to make it clear that if you want to attach the source, you click on the arrow. Please continue to share your feedback here!
