Memories added to the new Family Group living people...
A lot of us don't want to spend a lot of time adding memories to the "new" living people in the new Family Group tree...and then have the work disappear if we quit the new tree stuff.
and...is the memory work that others in the group going to be shared to all in the group...and what happens if one of the group decides to quit? Is all those memories lost to the group?

Hi Ralph,
When you upload a memory, it remains uploaded and in your Gallery, regardless of which tree you attach it to - or even if it's not attached to any person or tree.
1) With Family Group Trees, you can make the photo "Limited Access" and check which groups can see the image. Or you can still mark it as "Public" and allow anyone to see it (either by sharing the link to the story, or by having them do a Google search). We only added "Limited Access" because some people like to share photos and stories with family, but don't want the general public to see their living relatives.
2) In order to make the photos easier to find, you can tag a person in more than one tree. There are some issues with how this works right now, and we are working to improve the experience. However, in general, you can tag "Ralph Marion Stephens DHIJ-1JK" and "Ralph Marion Stephens ASDW-1FA" and then have that image appear in two different trees. You don't need to upload it more than one time.
3) Also, if you already have a bunch of memories attached to you, when you copy yourself into a new Family Group Tree, those memories will automatically appear in the new Tree. Your previous "person tag" now includes both "person IDs" (PIDs), allowing you to skip Step #2.
This may sound complicated, but hopefully we can smooth it out, as we gather more feedback.
Let me answer your other questions too.
1) If you, or someone else, leaves a group this does not delete the memories you added or the work you did in that family group tree.
2) If you quit the new group experiment, everything you've done so far simply hides from view. It continues to exist.
3) If you do want to remove a memory from a family group, you need to go through the regular process of clicking "Delete" on the memory itself.
Hope this helps!
