Poland military expertise needed
Hello, I am trying to figure out my grandfathers timeline with the military in Poland. I have a bunch of his papers and have figured out a lot but certain things remain unclear. I am hoping to find somebody with a lot of knowledge on the history of the Polish military to talk through what I have and might be able to fill in some blanks.

If the documents are in Polish, one does not need great military knowledge. I dealt with documentation of the course of military service written in the Polish Army before World War II and with the documentation of the Polish Armed Forces in the West. What documents are these?

I have a few of his original documents but some things are leaving me a little confused.
He recorded serving - HQ 5th infantry div. 1945-47, being born and raised in Lwow I've read all about the Lwow 5th infantry div of the peoples army. According to Wikipedia part of polands second army. My first question is, is Polands second army the same as the Polish 2nd corps?
I also have his ex pow identity card provided by the Polish armed forces. It was issued July 21 1945. Two questions on this one
A) does the ex pow identity card being issued by the Polish armed forces necessarily mean he was in the army before going to the labor camp, or is it still a possibility he was taken to the camp as a civilian. He was born 1927 and I do not know how long he was in the camp for so l can't just assume he was previously enlisted.
B) he joined the Polish resettlement corps in 1947, when the corps was in the midst of being created it was said.
" Reckonable service will include only that service rendered with the Polish Forces under British Command, ie within the period 1 July 1940 to 15 August 1946. NO service is reckonable in the case of Poles who entered the Polish Forces after 31 May1945" This date was almost 2 months before his release from the labor camp, is that enough to say he was already serving in the military when he was captured ? I have his soldiers service and playbook. It says enlisted for the Polish army, Sept 20 1945, but most of the book has not been filled out, however it is very worn out and weathered, suggesting it went through some serious time on his person.
On his pow card, his labor camp as far as I can read says tripoli-lipsk. I know of lipsk and their camps. But the tripoli has me lost. The only tripoli I can find is in the mountains of Lebanon, where the 5th kresowa infantry div trained in 1943 with the Polish 2 corps. It all almost sounds perfect except I've read the 5th infantry of the people army and 5th kresowa infantry are not the same. In that case I don't think he would have been there at all. After the war he was stationed in Italy for a while, which is were the kresowa div was, but again, it seems like a different division all together.
Lastly he has discharge papers from the Polish armed forces, was the Polish people's army even under leadership of the Polish armed forces.
