New here - a couple of questions of general Qs & research in Szamotuly/Oborniki areas
Hello,
I am new here and have been searching for Nowickis, Nowaks and Ciboreks in the Szamotuly and Oborniki areas (small towns around them). I actually started my research in the late 90s with microfilm at the local LDS center, had kids and got busy, and am now back at it! I have a couple of misc questions that I hope someone can help me with:
1. I noticed on this website that microfilms can't be ordered any longer (I'm in Michigan so I can't go to the library in Utah). Is all the microfilm now online, or just some of it? For example, I have a photocopy from my old research of a death in Gorzewo in 1895. I clearly copied it from the parish microfilm, but when I put it into the database online, it doesn't come up (Andrez Nowicki). I can't tell what parish it is because of course I only photocopied the entry.
2) I have a photo (below) from a relative that is no longer alive. She said it was her grandmother, her father and his siblings in Poland before they came to the US in 1895. The ages match the children's births (and one more that came a year later), so it must be circa 1876/1877. My relatives were poor peasants that traveled the towns around Oborniki, trading housing for work. How would they afford a picture like this? I am thinking perhaps it was taken at one of the estates where they worked? Could that be possible?
3) I found several entries from German civil records around Szamotuly. I cannot read the old German script. Is there anyone on here that would translate these records for a fee? I know I can post them on here but there are about 10 of them.
thank you all for your assistance!

LaRue, sorry, but I do not speak German. You may check with German Research Community or try new site of Artificial Intelligence: Transkribus where you may receive transliteration of handwritten texts of records to typed version, you may then use GoogleTranslate to translate it to English.

Thank you for the tips! I signed up for the German group and am trying the AI program.
