While many of the records in France are available online, currently birth records in Marseille are only available online through 1904. You will either need to contact the Marseille City Hall to request a copy of your grandmother's birth certificate. You also might try this website to request the birth certificate: https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F1427

the website is in French lol. This is the road block I have been running into in attaining a copy of her birth certificate. I do not speak or read French. for older family members where would I find online birth records for Marseille prior to 1905?

For Marseille, those records are available at: https://www.archives13.fr/archive/recherche/etatcivil/n:64. If you are looking for records from other French departments, each department has their own web site. This article in the Research Wiki can be very helpful: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/France_Genealogy. I do not speak or read French either but I have learned enough to do most of my own French genealogy research. Google translate is very helpful as is the French Genealogical word list (https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/French_Genealogical_Word_List). If you have another French ancestor from Marseille born in 1904 or earlier, I might be able to help.
