Tracing my grandfather Arturo Fernandez Palma
Hi,
His ID is GG36-CQY.
I've reached a dead end and can't seem to locate his baptismal certificate and wonder if he was illegitimate. I was able to find who I think is his sister's birth certificate here: Panama, Catholic Church Records, 1707-1973; https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9PM4-7S9?cc=1913397&wc=M6FR-M38%3A195651901%2C195944501%2C196699101%2C196872101
We can't seem to locate his any record of his birth or baptism.
We also are trying to trace any birth records of Arturo's Father (my great grandfather) Rogelio Fernandez (we think his middle name might be Conlledo. His ID is GJPZ-4XG.
Birth records of Marcelina Palma GJPZ-8HL our great grandmother are another thing I'm looking for.
If anyone can share any additional ways of searching or what or help me find documents that would help me prove Spanish heritage, I'd be most appreciative. I need it so I can get a Spanish passport.
Thank you and have a good one!
Benjie

Did you look at this record attached to the sources for Rogelio Fernandez? He is definitely Spanish. And his wife Marcelina was born in David, Panama.

And this for Rogelio is also attached as a source.
As for Arturo, he was born in David, Panama but I checked and did not find a baptism record in this collection https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9GB3-K26?i=98&wc=M6F5-SPD%3A195652701%2C196093601%2C195652303%2C196295001&cc=1913397
I would consult the Panama research Wiki for more sources of records.
