Thank you so much! I can usually pick out the important facts in these French records but Celestin is my great grandfather and I wanted the full translation for my records. Interestingly, the 1860 civil records for Pel-et-Der were missed during initial scanning and were missing from the online records. The Aube Archives were kind enough to scan the record and send it to me.
I have several ancestors in different small towns in that area. In general, that area has quite a number of Carres. I continue to try to sort them out.
