Trying to locate birth record from Treviso

I’m searching for a birth record or baptism record of my great grandmother Guiseppina Cason who went by Josephine Coppola (married name) in the States. She was born in 1888 (not sure of month or day) in Treviso, Veneto to parents Faccio Cason and Anna Bonan. Her siblings names were Leopoldo, Giovanni, Dante and Andrea. I tried the guided research on FamilySearch but hit a dead end - the collections for Catholic Church Records and Civil Registration - State Archive both did not have anything for 1888.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

No, I don’t think so. From the info I could find she died in 1949 in Newark NJ. Her spouse was Carmine Coppola. Her birth year might be off by +/- a couple years. Some records I found on ancestry have different birth years like 1890 for example.

Did you look for birth records in Treviso for the surrounding years? There aren't printed indexes available as far as I can tell and the records aren't computer-indexed either, so you will just have to go image by image through the records to see if she might be in 1889 or 1890.

Also, do you know for certain that she was born in the city of Treviso? Treviso is also the name of a province, which contains the city of Treviso as well as dozens of other separate towns, and each town has its own set of records.

Thank you! Yes the town it's the city of Treviso in the province Treviso. I looked through the birth registries for 1887 and 1889 but didn't find anything with her name Guiseppina Cason. I also looked up her marriage in 1921 to see if it was there and did find that record. I was hoping the marriage record would give her correct birth date but it only listed her age as 33, which would mean her birth was sometime in 1888. The marriage date was Oct 6 1921. Does anyone know why that year would be missing from the list? Should it still be at the commune? Do you suggest writing to the commune to receive a copy of the record?

The Family Search records are the second (state archive) copies, so you should contact the comune to see if the originals from 1888 are available.

Btw here is the marriage publication. It gives the name of Carmine's previous spouse.
