Solothurn Church records online?
The wiki says records are online, but the link doesn't work. Does anyone know if the records are online? Thanks!

Doesn't work for me right now either - but this link is (if I remember correctly) nonsense anyway, brings you to a screen not useful for searching for given church records.
If you are looking for church records, search the catalogue: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog.
Searching for "Switzerland, Solothurn, Solothurn" and then selecting "church records" results in https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=161464&query=%2Bplace%3A%22Switzerland%2C%20Solothurn%2C%20Solothurn%22&subjectsOpen=563222-50
Does that solve your problem?

Your link works for me - for the commuities (parishes?) of Hauenstein, Ifenthal, Trimbach, and Wisen - in the canton (=state) of Solothurn. The capital city has the same name (Solothurn).
What exactly is your problem? That the link doesn't work at all (error 404) - or that is doesn't offer records for the city of Solothurn?

The above link works, but under Notes section, the link to view records gives me a 404 on my computer.

Switzerland, Catholic and Lutheran Church Records are available online, click here.

Thanks for the assist! Those links seem to work. Images are locked, so on my list for next visit to SLC or a FHL.

Hello Chris,
out of interest I had a look at some of your previous postings (before I had joined this community). I found https://community.familysearch.org/de/discussion/78277/transcription-translation-help-again-please most interesting - I had never seen this habit before. I have therefore asked on https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=18625#p123786 whether this is considered common.
This will give you also a transcript (not just translation) of the text: reading is free. Only if you want to see the screenshots (which you know already) you'd have to register with the forum (free of charge and without any obligation) … which also would give you the possibility to discuss any outstanding question regarding this family with other researchers interested in the family. Whilst this topic is in German (so far) - the forum is multilingual - English is fine.

Thanks for the info and additional link. I haven't seen that forum before.

Good to know that Solothurn records are online. My grandmother was born in Langendorf, but her gemeinde was Höfen in Bern Canton.

I believe Langendorf belongs to the parish of Oberdorf: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/451058

Hi
there is a pdf you can download that tells you which village belongs to which parish "Pfarrbücher des Kantons Solothurn"
https://www.e-periodica.ch/cntmng?pid=fsj-002:1963:30::222
In the catalog of familysearch, (search places) you'll find almost all churchbooks of the parishes in the Kanton Solothurn.
