The Family Bible Preservation Project shares with you the following:
INDEX to extant Family Bible records across the world.
The index is located here:
http://yanceyfamilygenealogy.org/family_bible_index.htm
Also the Surname Count file:
http://yanceyfamilygenealogy.org/Family_Bibles_starting_with_letter/A/-SURNAME_LIST.TXT
The surname count file above will give you some idea of the massive nature of this Family Bible Index. It will cover not only American Family Bibles - but bibles all the way from Australia to South Africa to Denmark to Nova Scotia and more.
Here is a genealogical challenge for all of you:
Can any of you find a surname - for which a Family Bible is known to exist for such surname - but for which the surname is not included in this SURNAME list above??
Note that some of you will quickly notice that Spanish/Portuguese surnames are rare in this listing. That is not because I didn't search for such cases, or that they read the bible any less, or that they were less religious than others - but it is a manifestation of the fact that Family Bibles are most common among the Protestants - and among Spanish and Portuguese countries - in most cases Catholicism has been quite dominant in their history - wherein the "Family Bible" was a pretty rare occurrence.

Dennis, this is amazing. Thank you for all your work on this. I see names that have only one shown and I know there are more, so I need to find my copies and get them to you. And then I saw 156 on one of my names!

Yes, but do not know how to upload. Grandson probably can, but will have to snail mail copies to him first. Liz Hicks

This is a very impressive list. Thank you for doing this.
In response to your challenge, I did not see the names Champagnole, Davignon / D'Avignon, Deyette/Diette, Gamache, Hogeland, Lilienkamp, Mathey, Stoupantz, Taiclet, Tourangeau, or Verret. As you have probably guessed, they are mainly French / French Canadian names. I don't have or know of any Family Bibles, unfortunately.

there is no point in adding a name for which there is no bible
If you can help me locate a bible for those names I will be happy to add the entries.
