A few transcription questions in an 1806 Alsace marriage record
Just a few quick questions on this record for Bernhard Fetzer and Maria Magdalena Heinrich in Steinselz, Bas-Rhin.
- can you help with this surname: I thought maybe it starts with Ph or Pförten, but that name isn't found in Geogen.
- Second box: im Sulzer Kanton ??ietren?? forst, ??noacl.?? Depart
Third:
Welche ??bend??se
: ??ruht?? vollzogen- fourth: oben ??angefaheter?? Schriften
fifth:
und ??enech.?? Departement: Aktum Steinselx ??el hepra??-
- Thanks! I would add in the complete transcription and translation, but I am having trouble cutting and pasting text into this window for some reason.

Thanks! Tom

- Here's the birth record for Bernhard - it looks like his mother's maiden name is Pfordner in this record.
And here's the marriage record for Martin and Margaretha. In this case, her maiden name is spelled Pfördtner
2.Margaretha Heinrich is from Birlenbach, Sulz Kanton, also called Sulz-unterm-Wald. See Compgen for complete "hierarchy" - http://gov.genealogy.net/item/show/BIRACHJN38WX. As of 1790 it was part of Department Niederrhein according to Compgen, but that's not what it looks like in this record.
3.Not sure about the "welch???', but the second part is "es nicht vollzogen."
4."oben angeführten Schriften"
5.See #2 re Department. "Aktum Steinselz et supra" for the second part.

Yes, I like "nemlich," although today it would be spelled "nämlich."

This is my first attempt to do a transcription/translation as a favor for another researcher, so am esp. interested in getting the surname right!

Thanks @sylviaelchinger1 ! This really helps. I'm thinking the Department name is more something like 'previously mentioned' since the niederrheinischen departement was already fully named for the Register, but I haven't found a word that would fit that.

Maybe 'nemlich departement'?
