Standardized places in Germany
Hello. I've been researching a family in Germany and have found church records for them in Frauenzimmern, Neckarkreis, Wuerttemberg. FS doesn't recognize this as a standardized place and when I try to find the correct standardization for this place I'm given several options including:
Neckarkreis, Württemberg, German Empire
Frauenzimmern, Brackenheim, Württemberg, German Empire
Frauenzimmern, Güglingen, Brackenheim, Württemberg, German Empire
Frauenzimmern, Frauenzimmern, Brackenheim, Württemberg, German Empire
Frauenzimmern, Güglingen, Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Neckarkreis, Grand Duchy of Baden, German Empire
Which one is correct? Thanks Susan Kershner

Basically all these specifications are correct and refer to the same place (Frauenzimmern). The point is that the regional organization has changed several times over the centuries. Any standardization will be valid only for a certain time period.
For example Meyers Gazetteer (valid for the Second German Empire (1871-1918)) lists Frauenzimmern as (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10505004):
Frauenzimmern [Dorf], Brackenheim [Oberamt], Neckarkreis [Kreis], Württemberg [State], German Empire
which corresponds to your second and forth option.
Today the categorization is (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frauenzimmern):
Frauenzimmern [Dorf] <belonging to> Güglingen [Stadt], Heilbronn [Kreis], Baden-Württemberg [Bundesland], Federal Republic of Germany
which correspond to your fifth option.
You need to decide which time period you want to use or use a more general description like:
Frauenzimmern, Württemberg, Germany
which is unequivocal because there is only one place with this name.
