Source Already Attached
(Sorry, I don’t know if this is a new person page issue since the old person page is gone. And maybe this has been reported elsewhere, I don’t know I could not find it)
Delia F Perrin KWNT-5WW has had the 1900 US Census attached since 5 Dec 2012, but from her Detail page under Search Records “FamilySearch” it offers the 1900 US Census for her again. I would expect to see the little icon that shows that this source is already attached, but I do not? The URLs appear to be the same.
From her Sources Page
Current Attached source URL 1900 US Census Attached 5 Dec 2012https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MSRB-MJ9
Offered Unattached source URL 1900 US Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MSRB-MJW

Possibly an artefact from the issues that have plagued the 1900 census for months, with a broken index and other issues?

The attached source (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MSRB-MJ9) is not the same URL as the unattached one (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MSRB-MJW): somehow, the head of household Silas Chapman's index entry has gotten attached to both him and Delia, while Delia's entry isn't attached to anyone.
I share Áine's suspicion that this has something to do with the ongoing problems with this census index: its main symptom is/was the duplication of the head of household's name and info and the absence of the rest of the household.

You said it better than I did, @Julia Szent-Györgyi.

Early last year, I gave up trying to get any response in the way of actual help to fix a particular 1900 census attachment that needed to be cleared so the census could be attached to the wife and not twice to the husband. I still occasionally find a 1900 census with this problem. So, now I use anscestry.com to attach the census when that problem occurs and sidestep FamilySearch.
