Please help with 1875 marriage record
My cousin Carl/Charles Knecht may have married a year before he sailed to USA where he married, had children, and died. Can you please carefully review all names, dates/ages, and occupations in this Höhscheid/Solingen marriage record to help me figure this out?

@sylviaelchinger1 - This helps a WHOLE lot! And the list of "official documents" will save me a lot of time searching. The birth date for the groom that I have in my tree is "15 March 1828" (from the family bible). I think "March" is correct, but wonder if "15" could be the birth date and "17" the record date. Can you look at the birth record and see what date it says? https://dfg-viewer.de/show?id=9&tx_dlf%5Bid%5D=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landesarchiv-nrw.de%2Fdigitalisate%2FAbt_Rheinland%2FPA_2104%2F%7E022%2F02281%2Fmets.xml&tx_dlf%5Bpage%5D=57
Thank you!!!

Hi Gary,
Edit to correct my comment:
The birth record date given in the marriage record is dated the 17th of March 1828. But the birth record, which is indeed dated 17 March 1828, gives the actual birth date as 15 March 1828. Sometimes May looks a lot like March when not written clearly.

Thank you @JohnsonGreg - Could you also look at the death record for the groom's first wife (Rosetta Holleweg) to see on which date (Sep 1873) she died? https://dfg-viewer.de/show?id=9&tx_dlf%5Bid%5D=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.landesarchiv-nrw.de%2Fdigitalisate%2FAbt_Rheinland%2FPA_2104%2F%7E024%2F02478%2Fmets.xml&tx_dlf%5Bpage%5D=212
