Is someone able to help with German translation?
This is from an indexing record and is in German. The names seem Finnish but the other information is German. I'm uncertain how to put the correct accents for the 'a', 'o', and 'u'.
Rußland, St. Petersburg—Evangelisch-Lutherisches Konsistorium, Kirchenbücher, 1833–1885[MSS4-Z6Q]
I need help with the translation of names on #256 and #257. I'm not sure if the given name of the father on #256 should be Thomas Isaachssohn and surname, Hannakain. And on #257 if Catharina Georgs Y. Kiuru (?) means her maiden name is Kiuru. Would it be: first name: Catharina Georgs, and surname: Kiuru?
Thanks, Elaine

I am indexing these records and was referred to the the German Community for help. I'm uncertain about which accents to use. They seem to be in German format but I think they are Finnish names. For #253 I read as: Catharina Math (I'm uncertain but think the 'Y' looking character means 'daughter' or 'maiden name.') Terawain (I'm uncertain of which accents from the International Characters because they look totally different on the original. Then 'widow of,' his occupation, Martin Muohain (again--accents). She was 47y8m19d. Female. Please type out the words with the accents.
On #269 there are more names than the others--maybe grandparents? Please translate it, also.
Thanks so much! I feel if I can understand the accents, I will be able to continue to translate this type records. I have done German from Russia research on my husband's family but I'm new at the Finnish names.

Unfortunately the quality of the image is rather poor and almost impossible to read. I am unable to find the record using only the reference "Rußland, St. Petersburg—Evangelisch-Lutherisches Konsistorium, Kirchenbücher, 1833–1885[MSS4-Z6Q]".
Generally speaking, however, the Finnish language uses only the special letters ä and ö (corresponding to the German "Umlauts"), no other "accents" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_orthography).
