Hello David,
This is a birth record for a set of female twins named Rosina and Juliana. The twins were born on either side of midnight on 30 January 1783 and 31 January 1783.
Translation:
Date:
[Rosina, second twin born, but recorded first]: 31 January 1783, 1:30 am.
[Juliana, first twin born, but recorded second]: 30 January 11:30 pm.
Baptizing priest: local parish priest.
Children: Rosina and Juliana, "gemini" [= twins], legitimate daughters.
Parents: Martin Prandstetter, farmer/peasant at home?, wife Anna Dober(in), at the Lintnergut near the "Steuredt."
Godparents: Michael Rodinger, farmer/peasant at home?, at the Döllergut, wife Magdalena.
Religion: Catholic.
Place: village of Maseldorf.
Number: 8.
Comments: Both the father and godfather are identified as" rustic: Dom:" = rusticus domi. I interpreted "domi" as "at home", though it doesn't make much sense, and it isn't necessary to understand that both men are farmers/peasants. You'll also notice that almost all of the men's occupations on these two pages have the abbreviation "Dom:" connected with them.

Pretty cool right? You're welcome, David. I have one Austrian ancestor from 18th century Salzburg who over the course of 15 pregnancies during the first 16 years of marriage gave birth to 20 children, including three sets of twins and one set of triplets.

****!!! Now that's something to think about!!!
How far back have you traced your Austrian lineage?

In Salzburg, I have gotten back to the second half of the sixteenth century. I think I have one Austrian ancestor with a calculated birth year of 1657 based on his age at deathand a few others in the 1570s, 1580s, and 1590s.
