Which kind of occupation?
Hello, my German is not so good, so I need help to read the occupation.
Almost every men have Erbb(something) in front of their names on the parents (Ältern) section. I believe the occupation (Erbbau...) has been written open couple times on the godparents (Pathen) section.
What it means? Is it some kind of farmer or peasant?
This record is from Ingria, Russia at 1850 where they used German language in church records.

Hello @Heidi Kuosmanen,
Erbbauer = hereditary farmer, hereditary tenant (peasant)
Freier Arbeiter = free worker/free laborer.

Thank you Robert.
As I look on the right side of that record, there are some other letters after Erbbauer. records 245, 247 and 248
Can you see what I mean and what is the word then?

You're welcome, Heidi.
Records 245, 247, 248:
That word is: Erbbauerweib = Erbbauer's wife.
In other records on the right side that same word is abbreviated: Erbbauerwb = Erbbauerweib = Erbbauer's wife.
P.S. I edited my original response so be sure to check it out.

Now I can see that wife after erbbauer. Of course it is it, because that word is written after woman's name, how I did not think about it. Thank you Robert.

Could the word before Arbeiter be Freier as free worker?

Agreed: Freier Arbeiter.

Yes, it is "Freier". Good work, Heidi! I edited my original response to reflect this.
