Transaltion of Catholic German record in Latin
I am trying to translate these marriage records(attached to this message). The record in 1746 is my direct ancestor(Joseph Ohrenberger and Maria Eva Schott) and I was hoping to find the groom's parents' name in them, while I don't think they are I think the bride's mother's maiden name might be, but I can't read it very well. It also mentions the groom's brother(I think) and has a date asterisked on the side which I think maybe a birthdate for the groom, again just guessing at this point.
The second record from 1747 is the marriage record for Maria Eva Schott's brother I couldn't read much other than the groom's parents and I just want to pull as much information as I can. Hopefully, his mother's maiden name is there.
I had some help from a consultant at the Family Search Building and they suggested I try here also. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello @jessegaroldjensen1
Translated abstract of the first record:
Marriage date: 7 June 1746.
Groom: the honest young man Joseph Ohrenberger, legitimate son and brother of those above.
Bride: the chaste virgin Anna Eva Schott, legitimate daughter of citizen Peter Schott and Maria Eva, married couple.
Witnesses: Michael Hessele? and Joseph Oberhauser, as above.
Comments:
No indication as to whose birth date is recorded in the left margin. Note that there appears to be an asterisk to the right of the year "1746" above the first line of the record. Your assumption that this is the birth date of the groom is not unreasonable.
The groom's parents are not recorded.
The bride's mother's maiden name is not recorded.
It's always helpful to the translator to state where the record is from. Here is a list of recommendations on how to post a request for future reference:
- Please state where the record is from
- State the name(s) of the principal(s) in the record
- If the image is attached, attach the link to that image, if possible
- Attach one image per translation request
- Once the request is posted, please review it to (a) make sure it makes sense to the reader; (b) the image is attached; (c) the image is legible
- If there is a large number of requests, please post one or two at a time; wait for a response; then post one or two more
- Please crop the image to see the entire page. It helps the translator to see the whole context and offers more material for comparison with the scribe's style of writing
- Remember to thank the Responder
- If you like the response, give the Responder a "Like", "Awesome", "Agree", etc.
- If the response answers your question, please mark the response "Answered" (this only applies if you post your request as a question as opposed to starting your post as a new discussion).
- Please post the entire image instead of a "snippet".

Thank you so much for your help! I will remember that for the future when posting translations. Where it mentions “son and brother of those above”, could I assume that the brother and parents are mentioned in the previous records on the same page or a few before it? The record comes from Offenau, Wurttemberg. I am not sure if I put that in before.
