How to find German parents
I'm researching someone who was born in Germany, married a US soldier, and came to the US in the late 1940s. I have a copy of her passport, wedding license and the names of her parents (provided by the person's daughter). According to her passport and wedding license, she was born in Frankfurt au Main and according to her wedding license, was a Catholic. I'm trying to find out more on her parents and life in Germany. I've been through the Research Wiki on Family Search but haven't been able to come up with anything solid. Any suggestions?

If you are looking for her birth certificate, you will have to contact the civil registry office (Standesamt) in Frankfurt am Main. Here is a link to their webpage regarding genealogy and ordering certificates: https://frankfurt.de/english/service-and-city-hall/service-and-administration/municipal-offices/registry-office/our-services/genealogy
Note that since she was likely born within the past 110 years, the records are restricted to direct relatives. Click on "Ordering of certificates" in the right column of the link above, and then select "Service description" lower down on the new page to see who can request a certificate.
