Help reading 1828 Eheverkündigug
Sorry to keep coming back for help with these poor quality images and challenging handwriting but I so appreciate everyone's help!!!
I can make out most of the document after reading so many other documents but I am stumped on the groom's first name and his residence. The first letter of the first name may be a "G" but nothing that I come up with makes sense.
Also, can you read the groom's occupation? It is the same as all the other's occupations and I have wondered if it is Ackersmann?
The bride is from Fischenich near Cologne and the marriage civil registration district and recording office for this record is Hürth. Is the groom's residence Mannheim or is the first letter W and I'm totally off track?
Vielen dank!

Hello @BetteB,
Groom's first name is: Theodor.
Groom's occupation is: Akersmann = Ackersmann = farmer.
I read the groom's residence as: "Merrheim" which is likely the place called "Merheim". Here is the link for Merheim from Meyers Gazetteer: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20171019
There's also a district in Cologne called "Merheim":https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20171020
Since both of these places are close to Fischenich, either one could be where the groom is from.

Thank you so much! I've had trouble with the name Theodor before so I really need to work on recognizing that name.
