Please help translate this death record.
This death record is one that I found on Ancestory.com. I would like help reading the decedent's name- one translation is Eugene Herman (boy?) and another says Eugen Theresa Herrmann (girl?). I would also like to know the place of birth. All the other records that I have for this family are in Danzig, West Prussia. One translation for the birthplace is Keil (spelling?), Germany. There is a Kiel, Germany which is about 600 miles away from Danzig. That seems very far away, especially when another sibling is born in Danzig after this person. I would also be interested in any other information on this record that may indicate if this person was married or anything else of importance. Thank you for your help.

"Der Verstorbne" proves that the document is about a male person - name Eugen Theodor Herrmann - born in Kiel-Gaarden (Gaarden being a quarter in Kiel - just SE of the main town). I don't see any indication of him being married - but a higher resolution would make reading much easier.

Hello @BonnieJLarson,
I can address some of your questions:
The decedent is male and his full name is: Eugen Theodor Herrmann.
The record begins: The locksmith and machine assistant [and] stoker of the 1st Company , I. Werstdivision Kiel, Eugen Theodor Herrmann, Evangelical, last living in Danzig . . .
He was born on 24 November 1890 in Kiel-Gaarden, which is a district in the city of Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein, and yes this is the Kiel which is approximately 500 miles west of Danzig. It states that his birth record can be found in the Civil Registration Office of Kiel-Gaarden, in the birth registration book for the year 1890, record no. 371.
He died on 9 December 1914 at 18 minutes after midnight.
This appears to be a delayed death certificate for a military/combat death which occurred in December 1914 (early days of World War I) but the death was not officially recorded until 3 May 1939, almost 25 years later. I can't decipher much of the marginal note on the right -- it appears to be providing geographic coordinates, perhaps indicating the exact spot where Eugen died.
His father is: Theodor Bernhard Herrmann, deceased, and last living in Danzig.
His mother is: Franziska Herrmann, née Müller, living in Danzig.
The place for marriage information on the death registration form has been crossed-out and there is no indication whether Eugen was married or not.
Here is a link from Ancestry for German Imperial Navy sailors missing in action in World War I: https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/40957:2408?tid=&pid=&queryId=6ab584090abc004498409c998307218c&_phsrc=fce1052&_phstart=successSource
Count down 22 lines from the top of the page and you will find the entry for Eugen Herrmann. This entry translates as follows: Herrmann, Eugen, stoker, Kiel -- missing in action. This list is dated 6 March 1915.

To complete @Robert Seal_1 's extensive translation: the remark in the margin is the following:
1914 um 19 Uhr 27 Minuten nach Port-Stanley-Zeit auf ungefähr 53 Grad 28 Minuten südlicher Breite und 55 Grad 4 Minuten westlicher Länge bei den Falklandinseln beim Untergang des Kriegsschiffes "Nürnberg" verstorben.
Translation:
Died in 1914 at 7:27 p.m. Port Stanley time at approximately 53 degrees 28 minutes south latitude and 55 degrees 4 minutes west longitude near the Falkland Islands in the sinking of the warship "Nürnberg".
Together with the text in the main entry the sentence starts:
Died 9 December 1914 at 12:18 a.m. Central European Time, equals 8 December 1914 at 7:27 p.m. Port Stanley Time ....
I am puzzled by the time difference of 4 hours and 51 minutes; the difference between the time zones should be exactly 4 hours.

You're welcome, @BonnieJLarson.
Thank you @Ulrich Neitzel for the translation of the marginal note -- this additional information is very interesting.
