Translation help with birth of Elisabeth Schlueter
Hi,
Need help with the birth date for Elisabeth Louisa Schlueter and the occupation of the father.
Her parents are Gottlieb Schlueter and Anna Louisa Krause (Anna's maiden name was previously translated by Robert Seal).
Record found on archion.de https://www.archion.de/de/viewer/?no_cache=1&type=churchRegister&uid=283571
The birth/baptism is the first female on the left side of this record.
Thank you, Myke Rachu

Occupation is easy: Bauer = farmer.
Date: 08 Oct … but which year? The system is unusual (have never seen this before) - I assume the "year" is beginning First (Sunday of) Advent and going into the next year. The first entry 1789-90 is in May, consequently in 1790 … so the date of birth of Charlotte(!) Louise would be 08 Oct 1790, baptism 16 Oct.

Just to follow this up: this is the "Liturgical Year" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liturgical_year) - I just have never seen this used that way in church records.

Thank you for the explanation and the correction of child's first name. I do have a problem distinguishing between Elisabeth and Charlotte.

I've seen those double year dates used in Versmold in the early 1700s. The new year seems to start around mid November, but it is not consistent. Somewhere in the mid 1700s, they changed to starting the year on the 1st of January.
