How long is the wait for male endowments in Temple Shared?
I had a couple thousand men in Temple Shared only waiting for endowments back in approx. 2018 that had already been waiting for six years for only that remaining ordinance in Temple Shared. Back then the wait was about 10 years, I heard, but it was getting exponentially longer every year. I got frustrated, released all those names, thinking it might be faster to leave them unreserved and let relatives find them, but I don't have many relatives who are members of the church. Some of those released names came back on my Temple Shared list mysteriously, so I have about 8 men in my current Temple Shared list that have been waiting for endowments since 2012. Because people can now access ancestors who are Temple Shared, I am re-reserving all those names I originally released and am putting them on Temple Shared, assuming the wait will be 15-25 years (exponential increase in wait time because so many more are people submitting names) before their endowment gets completed unless a relative finds them in family search and completes it first. I recently moved to Logan, Utah where my new ward did not believe we have been waiting over 10 years in the Washington DC Temple District for endowments to be completed in Temple Shared because for the Logan area everything gets done in two years, they say, and the ward does not really see a need to helping ward members get their names done. Now I have heard that is no longer true because the Temple Shared system is no longer connected to the temple where you live, but is distributed evenly around the world. So, does anyone have any idea what the actual current wait time on male endowments is?

I can't really answer your question at all but can at least offer a bit of hope for you. It does seem that a lot of people are strictly using Ordinances Ready to get names for a temple trip. Some people on these Community boards are reporting that names they have shared with the temple get completed quite quickly in distant temples, probably because very distant cousins are being given the names through Ordinances Ready.
Also, there has been an update in Ordinances Ready so that one place it pulls names from is names shared to the temple by people in your ward or stake: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/where-does-ordinances-ready-get-names So people in your ward who don't have names of relatives that Ordinances Ready can find will start getting names you have shared when they use Ordinances Ready and will be helping you get them done.

Thank you so much for sending this link! I have been looking for information on this topic.
Yesterday, I had two male endowments get completed from my temple shared list and those people had only been waiting ten years for their endowment and other names on my temple shared list are printed, so I can see the work is suddenly picking up speed. I have had many initiatories and endowments completed at the Washington DC Temple in the last few weeks.
