Translation of German Civil Death Record from West Prussia
Hello Everyone,
This is a follow up question to my post on July 31 asking for help translating a death record for Johann Falk. This is the death record of his wife Anna who died on the 8th of January(?), 1882 in the German village of Wordel, Kreis Flatow, Marienwerder, West Prussia. The village is now known as Orzełek in the administrative district of Gmina Kamień Krajeński, within Sępólno County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.
I can see that her son-in-law Joseph reported this death, but since I am having trouble reading the old German script, I cannot make out much more than that. It seems that her father is Michael.
Thank you so much for being such a supportive community. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Good morning @WSeelentag,
Thank you for trying to help with this. I did not edit my post - I think the edit that you are seeing noted was the image moderator removing the picture of the record. This occurred a few minutes after I posted a single time. I know that editing posts has caused problems for others on this platform. I just posted once, then a few minutes later I got what looked like an automated message from the image moderator. I think the moderator edited my post to remove the image. I sent a note to the moderator but did not receive an answer-maybe because it is automated. I had posted a record from the same source a few days ago and there was no problem, so I do not understand what the issue is.

Hello @spujadas,
Here is the translation of the civil death record of Anna Falk:
Number 1.
Camin [Kamin], on the 18th of January 1882.
Before the undersigned civil registrar appeared today, whose personality/identity is known, the cottager Joseph Kloseck, residing in Wordel, and indicated that the married Anna Falk, his mother-in-law, 72 years and 5 moths old, Catholic religion, living in Wordel, born in Plötzig, daughter of the deceased at Plotzig owner/proprietor Michael Malitzki and his similarly deceased wife Marianna with unknown parents' names, died at Wordel on the 7th of January of the year 1882 in the afternoon at 5:00 pm.
Read aloud, approved, and because the informant can't write he signed the above notification with his mark x x x
The Civil Registrar: H. Jaenicke.
Certified to be in agreement with the Main Register, Camin [Kamin] on the 8th of January 1882.
The Civil Registrar: H. Jaenicke.

You're welcome, @spujadas.
FYI: I don't see anything inappropriate in this image/record which would cause it to be taken down by the Image Moderator. Very strange.

Hi @Robert Seal_1,
The picture got taken down (again) by the Image Moderator - I do not know why since it was exactly the same as the one you helped me with a few days ago. I sent a note to the moderator last week, but I did not receive a response. I sent a note last evening to one of the discussion leaders so that I could understand what the problem was, but I have not heard back yet (it has only been a short while). The image was one of an 1882 civil death certificate from the Polish National Archives.
I can try and message the image to you directly. Thank you for all of the help that you have given me!

Good morning @spujadas,
I received the image via your e-mail message and will translate it and post the translation here in a follow-up response.

@spujadas, there is a check procedure - and this is (unfortunately) hampered if you try to edit your post too quickly (before the produre is completed) ... as a result your image won't be uploaded. I have had this before.
You had edited your post - doesn't show when exactly. My rule of thumb is: after posting a message, wait at least 10 min before editing it - since I do this, I have had no further problems.

Thank you very much @Robert Seal_1. I will let you know if I get any further response on the image.

Comment removed - I keep getting confused by changing sequence of responses due to "best answers" on top 😣. Why not leave the sequence and just add a link to the "best answer" on top?
On the actual problem: if the message you got was (as you suggested) an automated response, I would assume just another technical problem (yes, this platform does have technical problems!) - not human interference.

Hi @WSeelentag,
I agree with you about the changing sequence of responses! This platform does have a few idiosyncrasies and bugs, but the community is wonderful and there is so much knowledge and expertise here.
I am not sure if it was an automated process or just a generic letter. In the end though I was able to work around it. I searched around the community to see if others were having image problems, but they involved photographs of people, not a simple picture of a record. I will post again if I get any further information because that may be helpful if anyone else is having that problem.

Just FYI @spujadas: I have posted a comment (with images), did not edit - but saw "19:18 bearbeitet 19:22" later. So - as you said - this seems to be an indication for the check procedure being completed. Main difference (in my case): no notice - and images are ok 😁.
