Help to decipher a few things on this record...
This record is the very last record on the right page at the bottom. The indexing for the record shows Christoph Birkholz baptized 3 February 1811, born 1 February 1811
son of Ludwig Birkholz and Anne Christine Mettelstaedt
I am trying to figure out if this man could be the brother of my 3rd great grandpa, so I am really digging for any clues--and this name Mettelstaedt--also appears in the family of that man's wife--so wondering if there is some connection here.
I noticed on this record there is something about 36, 44 and Gottfried--but those parts aren't explained in the indexing. Are those the ages of the people? How is Gottfried connected?
Thank you so so so so so much for your help! I am so grateful!

Oh and so sorry, I forgot this is Samotschin/Szamocin--now part of Poland but then part of the German Empire--near Heliodorowo.

Hello @kellerkatielorraine1,
I'm a bit confused because the last record on the right hand page, which is record no. 5 for the year 1811, is for an illegitimate child named Christoph who is the son of Michael Mulz? and Anne Maria Gusin? The parents are recorded in the second column. Is this the record you are referring to?
The third-to-last column in this record is for the "Taufzeugen" = Baptismal Witnesses.
Here is what is written about the baptismal witnesses in this column:
Ludwig Birkholz, farmer, 36 [years old].
Gottfried _____?, farmer, 44 [years old].
Mrs. Anne Christine Mettelstaedtin.
The last two columns indicate whether the child is "Legitimate" or "Illegitimate". In this record for Christoph, the "Illegitimate" column is marked.

Oh I am so sorry for messing up on where the record was--I was so confused myself.
Whoa! I cannot believe you were able to figure that out! So it was the ages of Ludwig and this Gottfried. Wow! And Christoph marked as an illegitimate child--very interesting--this may help me to untangle this family! Thank you so much! I can't thank you enough for your help!
