Good morning Kent,
You did very well with your interpretation of the names in this family register.
You know, however, that I am a stickler for transcribing the names exactly as they appear in the record, so I would transcribe the parents' surnames as: Simon Süß and Maria Magdalena Krauß. This is a minor point about the ß and of course if you prefer "ss" that is fine; but the umlaut on the "u" in "Süß" is not optional as it affects the pronunciation of the name and how the name is filed in an alphabetical index.
I believe the word written under Simon's death date is: verunglückt = accident(al); casualty.
The first son's second name is spelled: Friedrich.
I assume you don't need help with the dates, but if so, let me know.

Robert Seal_1 Good points. I forgot you can hold down the "s" on a Mac and you can make a ß. I will do that in the future. Of course I know you like Krauß spelled that way. Your patience is appreciated. Rain here and a lot cooler. Kent

Hot and sunny here today -- no rain in sight for the next week. So, is that you standing next to your son who is holding the fish?

You look like very happy fishermen indeed. Both you and your son have the same friendly smile. I like the hats!
